John Dankworth

Here at Qnote we are very saddened by the death of Sir John Dankworth on February 6th 2010. We will miss his musical genuis, his creative drive, and his extraordinary determination. Only recently John was directing creative processes from his bed ; mocking up artwork for his forthcoming release 'Jazz Matters' and firing up Sibelius on his laptop to make adjustments to some charts - he lived and breathed music, right to the end. Our heartfelt thoughts and sympathies are with John's family, Dame Cleo Laine, Jacqui Dankworth and Alec Dankworth.
